Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York, the fourth of five children of Frederick Christ Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. His father was a successful real estate developer, and Trump followed in his footsteps, eventually taking over the family business and renaming it The Trump Organization.

Trump attended the Kew-Forest School in Forest Hills, Queens, before transferring to the New York Military Academy, a private boarding school, for high school. He then attended Fordham University in the Bronx for two years before transferring to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a bachelor's degree in economics in 1968.

After college, Trump joined his father's real estate business and worked on a number of projects, including the renovation of the Grand Hyatt New York hotel and the construction of the Trump Tower in Manhattan. He also ventured into other industries, including entertainment and gaming, and eventually became known for his lavish buildings, including hotels, casinos, and residential towers bearing his name. Trump also gained fame as the host of the reality television show "The Apprentice," which aired from 2004 to 2015.

In 2015, Trump announced his candidacy for president as a Republican and was elected in a surprise victory in November 2016. As President, Trump pursued an "America First" agenda and made controversial decisions on issues such as immigration, trade, and healthcare. He was impeached by the House of Representatives in 2019 for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, but was later acquitted by the Senate. In January 2021, Trump became the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice, following the storming of the U.S. Capitol by his supporters on January 6. He was later acquitted by the Senate in his second impeachment trial. Trump did not seek re-election in 2020 and left office on January 20, 2021.
